Our huts are sited on Quarry Farm in the tiny village of Bodiam.
The River Rother meanders quietly through the valley flanked on either side by open farmland. The unpolluted waters, which guests are free to fish, offers a perfect habitat for all sorts of flora, fauna and wildlife.Â
A short stroll accoss the fields and you reach our nearest  local pub “The Castle Inn” serving Kentish Ales and great homemade food.  Across the quiet road from the pub you will find Bodiam Castle, the top of which you can see from the woods. The castle is as every child draws, complete with Moat, turrets and battlements.Â
Running into the farm is the Kent and Sussex Steam Railway, which offers a wonderful trip through the valley to the nearby cinque Port town of Tenterden. At weekends an evening train runs a fansastic supper service starting from, and returning to, Tenterden.Â
A small ferry, ‘The Danny Lee’, runs down the river from the castle to the nearby village of Newenden, where you can dine in the village pub or hire a rowing boat and splash about on the river yourself!Â
In addition to all this there are a further two country pubs within walking distance, ‘The White Dog Inn’ in Ewhurst Green and ‘The Salehurst Halt’ in Salehurst, as well as the beautiful ‘Curlew Restaurant’ the only restaurant in East Sussex with a ‘Michelin Star’ and winner of ‘Best Eating Experience’ at the Sussex food and Drink awards this year.  Within half an hour’s drive you also have the ancient towns of Rye and Battle, as well as 7 miles of sandy, blue flag beach at Camber.Â

Currently the site is home to three huts; two of which offer living accommodation for up to 4 people. THe third can accommodate 5, a forth hut that will also accommodate 5 people will be on site from the beginning of April 2011. The huts are fully equipped and a linen service is provided. Each hut has outside dining furniture and its own fire pit for cooking (logs and cooking equpment provided).  A gas hob is fitted for convenience, as well as a sink with cold runing water.  Hampers of fine local produce can be arranged for your arrival. These are bespoke and need discussing fairly well in advance.
As shown in the gallery, the hut is quickly and easily changed between its day and night functions. The day bed at one end easily converts to become bunk beds, and the dining table at the other end folds down to make a double bed.  Â
To keep the environmental impact of  the accommodation to a minimum the huts are not connected to a mains electric supply.  Electric lighting is provided by means of a solar panel on the roof offering an easy and safe means of lighting.Â
An additional hut provides washing facilities.  It houses two loos with basins and two showers.  Each have both a hot and a cold water supply.

Nicks father lives in the farmhouse, we live about a mile away in the next village, so you do need to give us a good idea of arrival times as I often need to scoop the children and dogs into the car and come and meet you
Top things to bring: a torch, towels, mashmallows a lighter and some wellies!!
